19 Erbe 1117: Gashuumi – Tlianke/Hinterworlds (1206 B527769-7 O:1104 923 Na M4 V M9 D)
This is Kapan Do’Rex, Acting Captain of the Free Trader Grayswandir.
I have been approached by members of Tlianke Hegemony Security, asking about passengers Demaris and Kyris Steton. They wished to know the extent of our dealings and agreements with the Stetons. I stated Captain Kodai’s opinion that the Stetons were not responsible for the sabotage of the Grayswandir as it did not seem reasonable that they would attempt to destroy the ship on which they were travelling.
The Security officials also asked about the cargo that we carried from Tlianke to Girar. I replied by telling them that I was not involved with our trade operations and that Captain Kodai had told us that he had sold the cargo to a local broker instead of delivering it to the requested recipients. This was not a deception; that is what Captain Kodai had done and, despite what he told the crew privately, I have no information that the cargo in question would ever reach its intended destination.
The Security officials left shortly after that; I believe they were uncomfortable around me, as are many humaniti who are non-Travellers. For once, I am appreciative of their distancing themselves.
Engineer Wistina did contact me to invite me to a social gathering with her and Gunner Holt. I declined but was appreciative of her contact. She informed me that Tlianke Security had also been aboard the Grayswandir and had been attempting to access the systems there. They have also apparently questioned her and Steward Holt, but both of their responses were similar to my own.
I have processed the remaining forms for our stay on Gashuumi and so have no remaining operational requirements at this time. I will update this log with commonplace events as they occur.
