Today was another quiet day. I’ve gotten all of our cargo and freight finalized, but we haven’t gotten any more passengers. It’s minor, but it annoys me a bit to go out with an empty passenger cabin.
Another Boilingbrook dropship arrived today and landed another marine squadron. Even the locals who had welcomed the alliance are starting to worry over the show of force.
And the Scout Base has gone into complete lockdown. I’ve had to head over twice today so that cargoes could be let through and onto the Grayswandir. One of the custom’s officials told me directly that if I hadn’t brought Minister Trakon here, then none of this would have been necessary. As long as they keep following Imperial protocols for trade, we’ll be fine. If that goes away, we’ll be in trouble.
I’m glad we’re getting out of here in two days. The further away we get, the happier I’ll be.
